If you are lucky, the PO left the line under the Jeep and all you have to do is hook it back up. There is normally a schrader valve on the fuel rail (looks like a tire air valve with a black cap on it), hookm up a fuel pressure test gauge and you should have 49 psi.1) After car is put into gear after warmup, at a red light the car gives a "kunk". 2) While still warming up and at a stop, the engine rpm's will drop to almost a stall, sometimes in doing so knocking the car out of gear. Setting up to run the lines (fuel/brake) along the frame rail and don't have a good picture of the routing especially around the shock tower to the Tank. There were two different fuel tanks and filler neck/hoses for CJ's. one for 76 and 77, and I believe the diagram posted by fuzz 401 is for the 78 and later fuel tanks. The 76-77 had a larger filler hose inlet and a different filler neck.

Here is the wiring out of the fuel pump. This diagram is looking into the loom side connector. I'll have to see if I can ID the other side. Edit: On the fuel pump, the red and black wires are for the pump so red goes to pin 1, black to pin 6. The other two wires are for the fuel level sender which is just variable resistor.
